I have had Diamond products before and was looking to replace a 10-year-old pair of Honigs. I was excited to get this set because I like the quick-release clip idea, but it turns out there are lots of them. The top could not be loosened enough to stop it from rubbing awkwardly in spots. Taking shots off of the knee was not fun since the pad does not completely cover the entire width of the front of the knee. Since it is just elastic, eventually, it is just going to get loose and dangle out of position reducing its ability to provide the same protection on day 300 as day 1.

These umpire shin guards are light weight and still provide maximum protection. The smaller profile allows for easier movement behind the plate. Great buy!
