Umpiring in the Midwest during those mid-late March tournaments can be excruciatingly cold with wind and rain and this jacket does it like no other. The inner fleece design keeps the heat inside the jacket while the outside makes the rain slide right off the jacket. I was worried that I might’ve got the jacket too small or too big, but it fits amazingly well and I’m able to move comfortably behind the plate with my calls and I wouldn’t recommend any other jacket.

I have not had a cold enough day to wear it yet. The sizing runs large to accommodate plate gear, and it seems like great quality.

I have used this Smitty jacket almost every game since my purchase. I umpire mainly on turf fields, so playing through rain, wind, snow flurries, and even a little hail. It blocks the wind, and my upper half stays dry.

I don't wear a coat often, but this one is great. Not too heavy, but still warm. The modern look matches the convertible windbreaker.

The jacket seems nice. Finally, I have a Thermal-based jacket with pockets. I will try it out tomorrow. As for sizing, they are not kidding about sizing down. I normally order an XL for comfort but sized down to a large and that was still too big. I had to return it for a medium and that jacket fit nicely. Wearing a chest protector underneath will be a little snug, but it will keep me warmer. I had the original Majestic Thermal-based jacket but it didn’t have pockets.

The jacket is nice and warm. The only thing I am not happy with is the cuffs being way too loose and the pockets are way smaller on the newer model.

This Smitty jacket is super comfortable. It fits true to size.

I purchased this jacket at the end of my season about a moth ago so I have not yet wore it on the field - I need to wait until Spring of 2023. But from just trying on it and wearing it around the house, I can tell this is going to be a great jacket to wear on the field and it looks really sharp with the new color scheme of black and gray versus the old style of black with white stripes. My only suggestion to Smitty would be to upgrade the lining in the pockets - other than that - don't mess with perfection!

Overall great coat. Very glad I purchased it. One thing that I wish would be upgraded are the pockets. Very happy the coat has them, but there is no cold weather lining in the pockets. Stepped outside in the cold, wind blew up under coat and was like my hands were not even in pockets. Guess that’s why they make gloves.

I have the Majestic pullover so when I saw the fleece zip up, I had to have one. Have yet to perform in it, but have no doubts about it. Thanks Ump-Attire.com.

Great jacket!! Ordered it just in time for my last tournament of the season this past weekend. Very warm on those bitter cold mornings. Fit well with my chest protector, although shoulders seem a little bulky, even with the protector. Got lots of compliments from my partner and others working the tourney.
