I really like these pants. They hold a crease, they look sharp and the color is great. I have the plate and base version of these pants and the only minor problems I have are, the plate pants are a little snug over the shin guards and they do not breathe like the poly/spandex, so they are warmer.

By far the best pants I’ve owned both plate and base. Material holds up well and the color is fabulous. The real plus is the expander waistband - the best innovation to come out in officials’ pants.

These umpire pants are a good option if you are looking to save some money over the more expensive "professional" pants. Perfectly fine for doing youth games, but as others have mentioned they do tend to fade and they may not match your partner's pants.

The Smitty umpire pants work great. They look nice and last a long time. As an added bonus, they don't leave little marks when you get hit like the new stretch pants do. These pants are also comfortable to wear in both the cold and heat. Finally, they are more affordable than the new stretch pants as well. I do recommend getting both plate and base pants if you can afford it. You'll look better and feel more professional out there!

Excellent fit, durable quality. Only issue is one of the two clips that holds broke after the second game.

I love the flexibility of these umpire pants. I had to retire my last set of Champro from tearing the crotch one too many times.

These umpire pants are a perfect fit for me thanks to the expandable waist. If you are in between pants size I highly recommend this product. They are the next best pair to the poly-spandex Umpire pants. I'm hoping the poly-spandex can be made in an expandable waistline.

I have to say that I needed a pair of pants and I called Ump-Attire.com along with a new pair of Base Shoes since the ones I used had a blowout! I got these in 3 days! Ump-Attire.com was a LIFESAVER! I recommend them for everybody!

In my 24 years of umpiring these pants by far are the best plate pants I've ever used.

If you wash these pants in Woolite Dark, they will not fade that quickly. I like them because of the comfort and they are cooler then Gerry Davis pants.

Smitty's pants have way too much rear. Looks like a dirty diaper. Color fades within weeks. There has to be a better pant out there. All my umpires have at lease 10 pair of unusable Smitty's with 2 issues. Zipper or color.

Got these pants last week and put them through 12 games right off the bat last weekend! Good fit and very comfortable. Haven't experienced any of the problems with the zipper that other users have reported with these or the Smitty combo's I purchased last year.

I purchased these pants a few weeks ago and have had them 25-30 games so far. The fit is very good and they are holding up well so far.

I purchased 2 pair combo and base pants 2 years ago. After the first month the zipper broke and luckily the other zipper is just fine. My biggest complaint is the seams keep coming apart and back to the tailor's. What I have noticed over the last year is the fading in the back side almost like a tan color. One part of the pants I do like is the expander. I didn't have an issue when I wore Fech's.

Too much seat. Looks as though umpires have a "dirty diaper". Color fades within a few months. Most umpires have 5 or more burned pants that are perfectly usable except for the color

Very good pants for working a lot of games. Machine wash. My only complaint I had was the placement and number of belt loops. I had my tailor sow an extra belt loop in the back.

The fit is remarkable. Additionally, the idea of an expandable waistband is quite clever as it gives you a bit more room :-) However, the color is quite awful, especially when you stand next to someone who is wearing the Charcoal pants that Gerry Davis manufactures. I mean no disrespect, and I genuinely love Ump-Attire.com, but these Smitty's pants are, in terms of design and color, quite atrocious when compared to GD.
