Smitty has improved these shirts from when I last called games several years ago. They are lighter and more breathable. They also size down perfectly (Buy medium if you wear a large polo-style shirt).

This shirt is true to size and very comfortable. After I washed and dried it I hung it right up and it really didn’t need ironing after that. Good stuff.

First year umpiring and bought these Smitty shirts as they are the standard in our organization. After only 3 months of use, the shirts are already falling apart. Threads pulling out from the hem, buttons, and button holes. Very disappointed in the quality of Smitty shirts.

Best shirt on the market. Changes to sleeves have improved comfort and fit. For my small group of 30 umpires, I put them all in these black and blue shirts.

The material seems light and breathable. Smitty claims is it is cut for the plate but when trying on the shirt, it seemed more snug than I expected. I ordered a large size, which is my normal size, and wear a Wilson West Vest chest protector. I will see how it holds up through the season.

I used to wear the Majestic because the older Smitty version was too hot. With this new material on the Smitty shirts, they’re much cooler and matches the Majestic thread for thread. With the new material and body flex design, this shirt will make any umpire stand out on the field. It’s a must have!

Absolutely love these umpire shirts! I hope my state's association moves to these shirts soon! Extremely comfortable and light weight. If you haven't bought one of these yet, then do yourself a favor and get one (or more) today. I wear and XL on the plate and a L on the bases. For reference, I'm 5-11 225 and wear size 46R. The collars on these are better than the standard shirts. The collar is thicker and firmer, so there is less movement and less blowing in the breeze. The material breathes better and helps you stay cooler on hot days. I'm also looking for ways to beat the heat and these shirts do that. Plus, the colors are great. They offer these in black, blue and grey. I fully recommend all three and wear them proudly!

I bought the Black and the Blue shirts. When I first opened the package I thought Wow!, that collar looks huge! I went back on the website and noticed the collar is even mentioned in the description to be "smaller".... UPGRADED COLLAR: Smaller, more fitting and streamlined collar with black accent (no more bunching). I can't get over the look of the oversized collar. Returning both shirts. Otherwise I think these shirts could be very cool and comfortable.

The Smitty MLB Replica is a great option when you want that MLB look without the MLB price! I will say the color and quality is a little different than the Majestic official version. And of course you don't get the MLB logo on the back. Therefore, I give this shirt 4 stars out of 5.

Ordered one for the plate and a size down for the bases, and these shirts are as good as advertised: true to size, breathable, very sharp-looking, easy to wash, hang dry in minutes, and are surprisingly durable. When the details say that they are fitted for the plate, they aren’t lying. Go a size smaller if you use a shirt strictly for the bases, or if you want to look like Jim Wolf and have it tight on your arms. Great umpire shirts overall.

These shirts are great, and they actually have been improved greatly since the 1st Smitty version which honestly was a disappointing product. I gave mine away to a rookie. The new Smitty shirts are much nicer (IMO) than the Majestics—plus they cost less. The mesh material dries very quickly and resists stains. A+

Not quite as sharp as the Majestic, but works just as well with the same fit. Seems well-made thus far. Collar ends pop up and collar has a tendency to roll, but I've experienced that with every umpire shirt.

The Smitty v2 umpire shirt is a looser mesh and very lightweight. I really like the new style and especially the shorter sleeves! I'll be picking up a few more of these in other colors as available.

This is the best umpire shirt I have in my collection now! It breathes incredibly well and gives a nice stretch in the right places. I already have a Columbia Blue of the old style but will be upgrading to the V2 very soon.

Great improvement on an already great shirt. The shorter sleeves make wearing an XL without the baggy elbow length sleeves a perfect fit for guy like me stuck in between L and XL.

The sleeves are indeed shorter. I think too short. I'm 5'10 175 not heavy or with huge arms. I wear a Force3 V3 and sleeves are too short. Great look and material. However, I'm ordering more Majestic MLB shirts.
