Champro Balls First 4-Dial Optic Yellow Plastic Umpire Indicator - 3/2/2 Count

Love this indicator, easy to see with the green dials. Smart design with balls then strikes, just like we call them. Only 3 balls, 2 strikes and 2 outs then back to 0, indicators have no reason for ball 4, strike 3, and 3 outs! Champro was smart enough to realize this and came up with a perfect manual indicator! Recommend this Champro indicator to everybody using this style! Would love to see a metal version come out though!!

This one is a little stiff to turn the dials compared to other Champro clickers. Maybe it will loosen up after more games.

I love this indicator. It is the model that I use the most since the balls come first, then the strikes, also because the count reaches 3, 2 and 2, then restarts at 0; that makes it even more practical. Personally, it is my preferred indicator.

This is the only place I’ve been able to find a balls-first indicator. It makes umpiring so much easier!

I really like having balls on the left and the 3/2/2 dials. It took about a game and a half before I fully adjusted to the "reversed" balls and strikes, but now I prefer it much more than having to mentally switch the numbers when I announce the count. It helped that I first used this while working the bases, so I was mostly there before getting behind the plate.

Love the balls to the left-style clicker. Easy-to-flip dials make this thing a joy to work with.

Greatly designed indicator. I really appreciate the ball counter on the left and the strikes counter being placed on the right, as we read left to right, as well as verbalize the count left to right. I also like the counter stopping at 3/2/2 for balls/trikes/outs. No extra clicking. Additionally, it's also lightweight.

This indicator is super lightweight, has a great grip on the wheels and is super awesome for night games.

The ball/strike indicator is easy to read, lightweight, and super accurate on the dials. You can't beat the reliability or the price.

These are my favorites because they are in ball/strike order, so when you give the count a quick glance, what you see is what you say. Fine quality, nothing spectacular, but a solid go-to indicator. I've bought several and will buy even more.

This is pretty much the only option for us weirdos who prefer "Call Order" style indicators. Wish there was a package deal or a 3-pack.

This indicator is very easy to read and not clicking any more than really needed. Having balls then strikes is the way you use it in game time. Only thing I would change would be not to have a 0 on the inning counter dial.

I like the balls and strikes like they are - so as I read left to right I am calling balls and strikes. Easy to read during the day. However with night games under the lights becomes a little more difficult to read.

I really appreciate the ball first dial as well as the 3/2/2 set up on this indicator. The optic color on the dials also help during night games.

My old one still works but is faded and hard to read. This new one broke after its first game. The innings indicator just spins now.

I like this indicator as it is 3/2/2. For a long time 3/2/2s were hard to find. It is inexpensive and has a good feel. My only complaint is that it is hard to read in low light/night conditions. The number dials are inset pretty deep, creating a shadow over the numbers, and the green-black already gives a lower contrast. So I will use this one during the day, and the thinner metal indicator for night games. Thank you Ump-Attire.com for finding more 3/2/2 options, since we've never had a 4-3 count on a batter with 3 outs.

Lightweight and well made. Optic yellow stands out well. Agree with others that can be hard to read at night with shadows. Overall very good product.

Been using the indicators for a while and I am very happy with them. They read the right way and are easy to use. The only problem I have is the shadowing at night can make them hard to read without tilting them into the lights. Still the best I can find!

This umpire indicator has the dials in the position I want, but the numbers are too far apart on each dial (especially on the strike dial), requiring far too large a turn. A similar model from a different brand is much better (all they did to make the turn better was to put 0-1-2 twice around the circle for strikes so it is a much easier turn each time). This Champro umpire indicator will stay in my bag until I find someone to give it to who needs an indicator. I won't even save this one to use as a backup as I'll never use it on the field.

I’ve been using this umpire indicator for years. I’m a huge fan of the fluorescent dials, especially at night. I very much prefer the “Balls” and “Strikes” in the proper order, left to right. That’s how we call it! I also like that the dials only go to 3 balls, 2 strikes, and 2 outs. Saves on the unnecessary rotations.

I love this umpire indicator. I have been using it for approximately 5yrs now. For some, they feel it's "backwards" meaning the Balls are on the left and Strikes are on the right. Well, if you all remember when you first started umpiring they teach you that you indicate with your hands/fingers balls with your left-hand & strikes with your right. So it only makes total sense for your indicator to mirror your left/right signals. I also love this indicator because it fits so well in your left hand. It's easy to read even in lower light due to the almost glowing color of optic yellow against a black body. If you're coming from the old style (strikes first, balls second) I suggest giving this indicator a try. You'll love it once you get used to it.

I should have read the description closer before I purchased. I have the more expensive one and love it, so I thought I was buying the same one as a back up. This one to me is backwards and it only goes to 3 balls and 2 strikes. Good operation and love the yellow background for low light games. Overall a decent counter but takes some getting used to.

Love these indicators, been using for 5+ years now, balls first makes it a lot easier.

Love the extra visibility the yellow background gives me, especially during games that run into dusk or even night games under the lights. The balls first alignment takes some adjustment to get used to. The strike indicator seems harder to click than the ball one so spend some time "breaking it in" if you want ease of use across all wheels.

I guess I should have read the description better before I ordered this. It's backwards from what I'm used to with the balls and strikes reversed. It will just take some getting used to. Right now I just it to keep the runs per inning on the innings dial.

This clicker works great. Easy to see and easy to use.

Love that the balls are first. However,it is actually harder to tick a strike than it is a ball. A ball is easy to tick with your thumb. But because the strike wheel only goes 0-1-2, and doesn't have a 3, it means that you have to spin the wheel more to tick a strike. Also because the black plastic covers a lot of the wheel, I have found that I have to spin or make a trigger motion with my index finger twice in order to tick a strike. This makes it a bit unnatural and it takes getting used to. I wound up shaving some of the black plastic away from the strike wheel in order to give my index finger more purchase on the wheel to help me tick a strike. So overall, the ball-strike layout feels more natural to me than the strike-ball layout, but ticking the strike wheel feels unnatural.

I LOVE this indicator. It is the "ONLY" alpha/numerically correct on the market. BALLLS & STRIKES, just the way it's suppose to be. I don't have to look at it when I'm clicking what I need. When I do look at it, even in the night games, I can see it. I LOVE IT.

I love it - As a newbie ump I kept getting my fingers mixed up with Strikes & Balls. I knew which hands to use and the order to verbalize; but kept the indicator backwards. This saved my game.

When I first started umpiring softball six years ago, I stumbled across this indicator. Made total sense to use. I love this indicator with balls first and strikes second.

I love this indicator, ball-strike, over my previous one, strike-ball. I notched the 0's so I can feel when everything is zero'd and don't have to look at it.

I prefer the indicator with balls first because it mimicks the way I indicate the count. Numbers with green background are easy to read in all lighting situations. I highly recommend it.

Excellent product, being left-handed helps but took some time getting used to the new set up with this indicator!

Ordered two so I would have one as a backup and I am not disappointed. Balls on the left makes perfect sense and it is more natural to me so I don't have to look at my indicator to register balls, strikes, or outs.

Guess I'm used to the old way. Didn't realize Balls and Strikes are opposite to old clickers. Tried a couple games and went back to original. I suppose I could program myself with use, but hard after 10 years. I should have looked closer at the picture, I didn't realize there were differences. But for $4 it will be my backup.

An umpire indicator that isn't backwards! Took me about 10 games to break my habits so I wouldn't have to look at my indicator after every pitch but love it now. Easy to see numbers in any light. Great price, bought a few. Doesn't feel quite as sturdy as some but for the price they're easily replaceable. Highly recommend!

I love this indicator! This is my first year as an ump and I've been quite annoyed that most umpire indicators are strikes on the left and balls on the right. This makes way more sense to me! The green is also a nice touch to make it a bit easier to read at night.

A fair price for a BALLS first umpire indicator, and I will buy it again when I need to replace it. The indicator wheels are firm which I like so that you can tell you rolled over the count when you are on the move to follow the play.

Finally, someone got the balls & strikes correct! Easier to use, and much easier to see the numbers! The only umpireindicator you will ever need!

The only umpire indicator you will ever need. Right size, shape, colors. Holds up pretty well. Balls and strikes in right order. Get it!

This is a great umpire indicator. It reads like you call them 2-1, 3-1, 3-2, etc. It is the only brand that I have found like this. Two warnings. Buy an extra one because if you lose it, it is very difficult to borrow one and have to read "backwards". Also, do not drop it on concrete or asphalt because it is not that sturdy.

An individual from Vista,California entered his/her review of this indicator and stated that the order in which "the balls and strikes are reversed". I respect your review, however, CHAMPRO does not have it in reverse ALL THE OTHER INDICATORS, which happens to be every single indicator out there, has the balls and strikes in REVERSE. CHAMPRO made an indicator that finally makes sense. There's really only one word to describe this indicator, EUREKA.

Best indicator around. It only makes sense to have the balls first. This is the only one I have used for about 4 seasons now. I use it for both softball and baseball.

This is the only one I use and I've bought several. The paint wears off over time, but hey! Which ones don't? Putting the balls first was an excellent idea.

The optic yellow part is great, but the balls are strikes are reversed. Yeah, I should a noticed that in the picture, but I didn't.
