Smitty Performance Flex Fit Umpire Cap

Great fitting, comfortable hat. Got this for my teenage son umpiring baseball, he really likes it, fits under his mask, breathes and is comfortable.

The quality of this hat is very good. I like that it is lightweight and breathable for those hot days. Just be careful as it does fit tighter than a Richardson hat have. So I suggest measuring your head and pay attention to sizing chart and don't assume that all hats are the same.

I bought this hat after using a Champro hat after 4 seasons. I can definitely say that this new Smitty hat is amazing. It's super lightweight and breathable, even with being a black hat, and fits very nice and snug. I would recommend this product!

Very nice lightweight cap when you are at a tournament and need to change your hat for one game to have your other hat absorb the sweat.

I bought one of these last year and used it all summer. The hat breathes better than any black hat I have ever had. The material is cooling; you can feel a breeze on your head when one blows by you! It dries quickly, so you can wet it down between innings if you'd like to help you cool down on those super-hot, multiple-game days. My only complaint is it does seem to fade a bit faster than the older wool hats, but I'll take that trade-off any day for all of the cooling help it brings to an umpire out in the sun for 8-10 hours on tournament days! My recommendation is to buy one and use it. It's worth it in my book.

A very nice lightweight cap to wear on the bases during the summer.

Very light and comfortable. Behind the plate, the Flex-fit is not as secure under my mask as my Smitty fitted cap, but it is cooler out on the bases.

These are good umpire caps. They look good and breathe well. Sizing is a little tight. You may want to size up one step.

They are lightweight and average. I bit small on the sizing though.

I got the medium cap as I am a 7 1/4" hat size, and it is entirely too small. Very tight fitting and difficult to keep on. The quality of the hat is superb, but the sizing seems to be off a bit. If it had fit as expected, this would be a six-star review. The cap materials and fit and finish are outstanding. I am not sure if I will return it because of the hassle, but it won't be used much. I'll try a large size to see if that works better.

I really like this lightweight, comfortable hat. I wanted something to keep my head cooler during hot summer games, and I think this hat will do that.

This cap is much better than any Smitty cap I've had in the past. I now own 3 of these. Very lightweight and comfortable. I used the 4-stitch behind the plate and it was great. This would probably be the easiest cap to use a 6-stitch behind the plate if you prefer to just have a 6 for both base and plate. The sizing is perfect with the 3 flex size option.

This cap, in three sizes, ensure a proper fit. The thin, breathable material is a nice alternative to mesh, as getting a fitted mesh cap is more and more difficult. It's really nice to wear in hot weather.

I purchased Smitty cap to wear under mask. It was very thin and hard to keep the back of cap from rolling up with putting it in.

Great product of a hard to find 4-stitch bill cap. I have not used it with an umpire mask yet. But so far, I like the looks, style, fit, and material. I bought a black and a blue.

I'm updating my review. Very comfortable, little weight. However, this material fades and shows wear from mask VERY quickly. Not a recommended product.
