These new flat-front, slim-leg referee pants finally bring us into modern fashion and take us out of the 1980s. The fabric is very stretchy throughout the legs; however, they are not tight on the legs. The waist does not have much stretch, but they fit true to size. The black is not as shiny as the previous models but is not noticeable. The only negatives about the pants are that they wrinkle very easily and tend to be very staticky if you wear legging underneath, hence the 4-star rating. I have solved the static problem by having a can of static guard handy in my garment bag and by adding just a bit of fabric softener when washing them in cold water casual cycle(low spin).
