Champro Varsity Umpire Gear Set

This gear is quality gear it says starter pack but I’ve been umping for 2 years now and after I got my package in and fit the gear to my body it feels amazing. Everything is lightweight and feels GREAT!!!! If I ever need new gear I’ll most likely get this again. Shin guards are super comfortable and the chest protected has amazing padding. The mask is very light which is a plus!!! AMAZING GEAR!!!

All of this stuff got me great. I have taken a couple shots to the mask and one to the chest. No issues whatsoever. Great kit especially for starting out.

I needed all new gear for my local league. These sets are great. The masks are light and the chest protector gives sufficient protection for that level ball.

Great starter umpire set. I'm a first year umpire doing mainly 10u baseball and softball. This gear has already taken a few hits as some of the catchers aren't quite mobile behind the plate yet. Have taken some pitches and foul balls off of the mask, chest protector, and shin guards so far without issues. Mask is extremely lightweight, which I love. I would recommend ordering some more comfortable pads for the mask, but all in all another great product from Champro.

The gear is perfect for a starter set. I have been umpiring for 30 years, I was very satisfied with the quality of the equipment.

As a first-season umpire, I appreciated having so many things I needed packaged together in one purchase. Mask, shin guards, and brush are great so far. Ballbag material not as nice as the separate cloth one I ordered. Chest protector does its job but has extra pads on top of collarbone that, in my opinion, make me look too bulky around the neck and cause my shirts to fit awkwardly over it.

Bought the starter gear. Highly recommend it. First weekend I used it. Took a foul off the mask and chest protector. Didn’t feel a thing. Great gear.

This is a great kit for a new umpire, as well as a seasoned official. The leg guards are light and breathe well. During my first time wearing them, I took a foul ball off the shin without feeling anything, so they work! Highly recommend.

Our local Little League received a donation that allowed us to purchase several of these kits to help recruit new volunteer adult umpires. The equipment is excellent quality, looks professional, and has already helped us sign up five new volunteers.

Bought this set when I started out, super good value for lower-level games, and felt relatively comfortable with the protection through JV levels. After my first game of seeing 90+ I upgraded.

The gear is great for a first time umpire. The kit comes with everything that you need to start behind the plate.

Great quality at an amazing price. The gear was shipped and received in a timely manner, just in time for my first game of the year. Even after a game in which we got rained on, and soaked, the CHAMPRO gear dried out overnight thanks to the quick dry material...and was ready for the next day. Comfortable gear, lightweight mask (barely can tell you have it on) and durable.

New umpire and still waiting to wear the gear seems to be everything that you need to start your career. Everything seems to be well made.

This is a excellent umpire starter package for someone getting into umpiring. I suggest getting a better chest protector before stepping up to high school ball or other.

I just began my umpiring career, and this set has worked well for me so far. The only problems I have had are the mask being difficult to air out and the quality of the ball bag. The mask seems to hold sweat, so I try to manually dry the pads as much as I can.

Great starter umpire set at a very reasonable price. Recommended for games with kids 13 years or younger. If you get into games with kids older than that, upgrading your chest protector should be considered. The fit was good for each item. Again - this is a starter kit so if you stick with umpiring long-term you should expect to upgrade a few items over time.

Good starter gear at a great price. Just wish I could use the Delta harness on the chest protector but the clips are different. Overall great product for the price.
