Wilson MLB West Vest Pro Gold 2 Air Management Umpire Chest Protector

Good protection. I was surprised by the first hit because it was much louder than my last protector. It fits well, though sometimes I need to adjust the side/rib pads a little. The ventilation is really good too. I have done several games in the last two weeks at 85-95 degrees and I didn't feel it was adding to the discomfort at all.

It's a quality chest protector. Takes a little time to get it just right. I went with it, since my last west vest lasted 12 years and kept me safe from High School level to semi-pro. I wish they would of put a little shape in the protecting pad right outside your arm pits. All in all, worth the money.

Fitted it to me right away. Wears high and provides good protection at shoulders across chest. Don’t need my throat guard anymore. The form fit and magnetic clips make this THE chest protector for me. Have taken two direct hits and haven’t felt a thing.

West Vest is Awesome. Why didn't I buy this 20 years ago? So much cushioning for protection. First time getting hit and all I did was smile!

Best one I’ve had yet. Just upgraded from the platinum west vest and am extremely happy with it. It’s a touch longer than the platinum which I do like for the extra protection but keep that in mind when ordering the new west vest. I work mainly high school varsity games then travel ball in the summer and am really looking forward to seeing the difference once things heat up on the turf!

I've been away from the game for over 30 years, and back then, I had the original West Vest (two of them). Upon my return at the age of 61, I wanted the best now as I did then, and the Air Management is the way I went. I’ve already taken two to the shoulder and one to the chest and hardly felt a thing! The West Vest is what most MLB umpires wear, so why shouldn’t you!? None better!

I really love my West Vest chest protector. This makes me feel more confident about staying in the slot with the inexperienced catchers I have right now.

I have used multiple Wilson chest protectors. This is by far the best and very easy to put on.

I had to send my back. It did not fit properly no matter how much I adjusted the straps. Plus I don't like the new design with the bottom plate curved out in the middle. I hope in time, Wilson will see the design flaws and redo it and put out a V2 (version 2) of this product. For now, I prefer my West Vest Gold.

This chest protector is fantastic. I’ve worn it for 10 games or so and taken some foul balls, and it protects like it should. It doesn’t breathe as well as maybe I thought it would, but the protection it provides far outweighs how well it breathes. I have peace of mind to stand in there and take whatever comes at me bc I barely feel anything when it hits. Love this product!

I have had several Wilson West Vests and this is by far the best one. This harness keeps it in place the entire game.

Great chest protector with upgraded harness. Once you have it adjusted to your body, secure the excess and don’t worry about it again. Does not need any adjusting during the game and stays in place. Very happy with my purchase.

This is my 3rd Wilson West Vest. I have worn the Original Gold, the Platinum, and now this one. The Wilson West Vest Pro Gold Air Management is by far the best!!!
